THE EXPOSITION
The exposition in six rooms reflects the events of January 1991 in Latvia. Visitors can see the model of the barricades, the objects used in the barricades from 1991 – thermoses, walkie-talkies, posters, video cameras, gas masks and other exhibits, as well as specially selected photographs. The exposition includes equipment of the Soviet OMON special forces and memorabilia. It is possible to get acquainted with various video and audio recordings and feel the real breath of its legendary era.

Collections of the Museum
Collections of the Museum began to develop as early as 1995, when the 1991 Barricade Participants Support Fund was established. According to the mission of the museum, the aim of the work of the collection is to compile, preserve and make available to the public the museum collection, which consists of the material and spiritual cultural heritage related to the restoration of national independence. The museum collects various materials that testify to the events of January and August 1991, as well as the Awakening period in general.

ROOM RENTALS
Museum of the barricades of 1991 is located in the Old Riga, in a historic building included in the list of architectural and artistic monuments of national significance. Historical ceiling paintings have been preserved in the conference hall. The room is suitable for both conferences and meetings, as well as social events for up to 60 participants.
The size of the room is 92 m2.
